Dr Sorial has completed 3 years as the President of the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society and is now serving in the role of scientific chairman for APAS.

Dr Rami Sorial was trained in Sydney and completed Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1993. He undertook two further years of subspecialty training in hip and knee surgery including fellowships in Phoenix and Boston and further training in London before returning to a senior lecturer post at the Royal North Shore Hospital in 1996.

He was appointed to the Nepean Hospital in 1997 as a VMO and continues to provide a specialty practice in both primary and complex revision joint reconstruction, knee and hip replacement, arthroscopic knee surgery and ligament reconstruction as well as a trauma service for a busy regional trauma centre.

He is currently Head of Department at Nepean Hospital in Penrith with appointments also to Nepean Private Hospital and Macquarie University Private Hospital. His academic appointments include Adjunct Associate Professor of surgery Sydney University.

Dr Sorial has lectured extensively on the wide topics of joint replacement and reconstruction both nationally and internationally and has participated in demonstration surgeries locally and overseas to advance and share surgical skills particularly within the Asia Pacific Region. He was awarded a visiting professorship through Sichuan University for his work in West China Hospital

Dr Siegfried Hofmann holds Magna cum laude at the Medikinale International in Parma. Dr. Parag Sancheti , a practicing Orthopaedic Surgeon is the Chairman and Managing Director at Sancheti Institute for Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation and Joint Replacement Center. He is the visiting consultant for MCh Course at University of Dundee, U.K.

He is currently the President of Poona Orthopaedic Society, Secretary General for Asia Pacific Knee Society, Vice President of Indian Association of Sports Medicine (IASM). He is the founder member of Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgery. He is on board of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) of USA. He has also been the past secretary of Indian Arthroscopy Society (IAS).

He was the Conveyer of the Medical Committee of the Commonwealth Youth Games held in Pune in 2008.His special interest lies in Total Joint Replacement surgery of the hip and knee, knee arthroscopy, pelvic and acetabulam fractures, Orthopaedic Research & Academics and most importantly sports injuries.

Dr. Sancheti has presented many papers in India and Abroad on subjects like 'lndus Knee —Results of I50 early cases', Meniscal Injuries, Arthrofibrosis, Meniscus Tears, TKR etc, and has also won many awards for best paper and presentation. He has more than 50 Publications in National and International journals to his credit. He has himself authored a book 'Clinical Research Made EASY'. He has won social awards like the Rashtra Seva Puraskar, Best Chapter Award, MITCON Achievers Awards and nominated as one of the ‘Icons of Pune’ by the Lokmat Group for having contributed for the development of the city. He has been conferred with Hon. Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons at Edinburgh.

Dr. Collopy is a Perth-based surgeon specialising in hip and knee replacement, revision arthroplasty, and pelvic and acetabular trauma. He is well-respected nationally and internationally, and is a regular speaker on the national and international circuit. He completed his residency and advanced surgical training at Royal Perth Hospital.

After gaining FRACS Ortho in 1994, he undertook three years of overseas fellowship training in the area of hip and knee arthroplasty and revision surgery, initially at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford UK, followed by a further year at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, and finally a fellowship in pelvic and acetabular trauma at Parkland Memorial Trauma Centre, Dallas Texas.

Dr. Collopy works as a Consultant at St John of God Private Hospitals in Perth. His research interests are in hip and knee implant design and fixation and he was one of the design surgeons on the Emperion revision hip system, the Triathlon knee system and the AccoladeII hip system. He, together with one of his partners, Mr Gavin Clark, is involved in developing robotics in knee and hip replacement.

Dr. Collopy is the immediate Past-President of the Arthroplasty Society of Australia, and is currently the Chairman of the WA State branch of the AOA.
